Affective Reflective therapy

Empathy for oneself and others is the prerequisite for psychological well-being in different life situations, thereby promoting relationship building and focusing on social learning.

Target group

People who work with people and want to expand their competencies in attitude and action in the social skill of empathy for others and themselves.

Participation

Participants per course: 15 persons
Admission procedure: Admission interview
Compulsory attendance: min. 80%
Teaching language: DE / EN

Costs

Participant fee: 4.990.- € (incl. documents), if all modules are completed within 3 semesters
Certification fee: 250.- € per certificate/participant

Conclusion

The course is completed with the certification "Expert for A.R.T. (Affective Reflective Therapist)". The certification is carried out by the ART Academy Vienna.

A.R.T. at work

Work independently as an affect resonance therapist in counseling and coaching or become part of EMPOWERMENTE and break new ground in psychosocial care to do something about the massive mental stress of our time.

CONTENTS

The Curiculum is modular!

Each module is presented in a combination of cognitive knowledge and the experienced affects as an affect-based learning model.

Module 1

Fundamentals of Empathy Resonance Therapy A.R.T. (Basic Module)

Contents

Empathy models, understanding psychosocial phenomena, basics of didactics of ART training, basics of observation according to the ART model and much more.

Module 2

Introduction to modern thinking concepts of mental understanding.

Contents

Introduction to mentalizing and infant research according to Gergely and Watson, relational psychoanalysis incl. development to modern thinking concepts and much more.

Module 3

Intension, attitude,
Affective tuning

Contents

Raising awareness of one's own intentions in the encounter in the social pedagogical field, attitude as a mechanism of change in the encounter, relaxed deep listening versus concentrated listening, and much more.

Module 4

Aggression, violence,
Sexuality

Contents

Empathy in Sadomasochistic Encounter Patterns/Sexuality, Aggressive Sexual Offending, Affect Regulation and Attachment, Mentalizing and Antisocial Personality Disorder, Excess and Sexuality, Shame and Violence.

Module 5

Introduction to
Science Technology

Contents

Fundamentals of Interpretive Social Research, Introduction to Conversation Analysis, Introduction to Embedded Empathy research, Objective Hermeneutics, Application to Observational Protocols.

Module 6

Gender, sexuality,
desire

Contents

Introduction to diverse models of thinking about gender constructs, introduction to psychic understanding of the meaning of desire, queer, LGBT, trans, family constructs.

Module 7

Relationship dynamics, empathy, psychodynamic thinking, and more.

Contents

Empathy in the observation of situations, basics of psychodynamic thinking, creativity and spontaneity as authenticity in the encounter and much more.

Module 8

Infant research, mother
and baby

Contents

Development of an intersubjective self, face-to-face communication, communication-action dialogue, attachment patterns in infant research, and more.

Module 9

Children and youth research

Contents

Youth culture, body meaning for adolescents, shame in adolescent development, loss / trauma / fear / intimacy / sexuality / violence, meeting and bonding with children and adolescents, and more.

Module 10

Culture, aggression

Contents

Introduction to diverse cultural models, empathy as an understanding of culture, construction of the other, constructions of culture, culture and trauma, culture / group / identity, and more.

Module 11

Group leadership, practice transfer

Contents

Recognition of group dynamic factors, reflective understanding of psychosocial phenomena from a leadership position, institutional cooperation, and much more.

Module 12

Final module

Contents

Presentation of portfolios (observation protocols, research articles) and practice transfer, exchange in the group about own development and feedback, feedback from teachers
